In the heart of the Clos Montmartre, the Ban des Vendanges marks the start of the harvest and pays tribute to this unique vineyard, perched on the heights of Paris, a symbol of know-how passed down from generation to generation.
Each year, to the lively beat of the P’tits Poulbots drums, brotherhoods, associations, folk groups and the Compagnons de la Butte gather in a festive atmosphere, watched by the many spectators lining Rue Saint-Vincent and Rue des Saules to celebrate this living heritage.
This year, the 18th sets the rhythm. From the beat of the drums to the melodies echoing through the streets of Montmartre, music accompanies this defining moment,bringing tradition and creation, memory and transmission into dialogue.
The event is opened by Éric Lejoindre, Mayor of the 18th arrondissement, in the presence of Alain Coquard, President of the République de Montmartre, Éric Sureau, President of COFAS, Alain Valentin, Grand Master of the Commanderie du Clos Montmartre, and Jean-Loup Bouvier, Mayor of the Commune Libre de Montmartre.
