Goutte d’Or is honing its rhetoric for the second consecutive year.
FGO-Barbara and Les Gouttes d’Or de la Mode & du Design pool their expertise to continue to highlight local stakeholders, with the participation of the Institut des Cultures d’Islam, the Bibliothèque de la Goutte d’Or, the Collectif 4C – quartier libre, and numerous other neighborhood partners.
Carried by the Union de la Jeunesse Internationale, founded by Youssouf Fofana, co-creator of Maison Château Rouge and Les Oiseaux Migrateurs, this festival is an invitation to speak out, share a point of view, a story, a memory, a conviction. Individually or in groups, participants explore all forms of expression: speeches, slam, poetry, song, reading, or performance.
Like a collective score, each intervention brings its color, its energy, and its rhythm. Voices respond to each other, words resonate, and together they compose a living work reflecting the diversity and creativity of the neighborhood.
To extend this experience, each participant chooses a keyword emblematic of their intervention. This word will be sewn or embroidered onto a T-shirt by the Goutte d’Or seamstresses. Offered by the association, this T-shirt is the reflection of a unique and embodied voice.
The project will also lead to the creation of five portraits by photographer Cebos. Echoing these images and spoken words, producer and DJ Sharouh will create an original soundtrack, inspired by the voices, words, and rhythms of the neighborhood. A sound creation that weaves a link between the project’s different artistic expressions and extends the collective experience.
The public is invited to attend the final presentation of these oral, visual, and sound creations, which will blend together in a festive and convivial moment during an evening at the Union de la Jeunesse Internationale.
A celebration of the power of words, the rhythm of voices, and the collective energy that makes the heart of Goutte d’Or beat.
