Awakening our fascination with sound: such is the goal of the Music at Play KIT, a toolkit for practice and listening.
Guided by a facilitator, participants handle sound objects as improbable as marbles or sandpaper, improvise vocal games, or have fun recording and combining sounds using three electronic modules: a playful and sensory way to discover sound and musical creation.
There are no winners or losers in these games, which aim to spark curiosity, encourage the production of strange and unexpected sounds, and foster exchange between participants. Games can be chosen based on age—from 3 to 99 years old—the number of players, or even the theme.
An associated playlist for each game allows the experience to continue and promotes active listening. So come play, listen, and converse with sounds!
